Who we are
metritawm.co.uk is operated by Metrita Wealth Management Ltd, an appointed representative of 2plan wealth management Ltd. Our registered office is 10 Forbes Business Centre, Kempson Way, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP32 7AR. Company number 11832336. For the purposes of the UK GDPR, we (Metrita Wealth Management Ltd) are the data controller for personal data collected via this website.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected specifically through this website — cookies, form submissions, analytics and similar. If you're already a client of ours, the wider policy covering how we handle your personal data in the course of providing financial advice is set out in the 2plan Data Protection, Privacy & Cookies Policy (available as a PDF, linked above and in our important documents).
What we collect and why
Contact and consultation forms
When you submit our contact form or request a free consultation, we collect the information you provide — your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your enquiry. We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to begin our client relationship. We don't use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
Our lawful basis for processing this data is either your consent (when you submit the form) or the performance of a contract (once we've begun advising you).
Cookies and website analytics
This website uses a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are used to make the site function correctly — for example, remembering that you've dismissed a notice or that you've moved between pages during a session. These cookies do not require your consent because the site would not work without them.
Where we use analytics cookies to understand how the site is being used (which pages people visit, how they got there, which browsers they use), we will ask for your consent before setting them. You can withdraw that consent at any time by clearing your cookies.
We do not use advertising cookies and we do not share visitor data with advertisers.
Server logs
Our web server automatically logs certain technical information about each visit — your IP address, the browser you're using, and the pages you visited. This information is used for security purposes (identifying and blocking malicious activity) and to diagnose technical problems. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
Who we share your data with
Where you submit information via a form on this site, that information may be shared with:
- 2plan wealth management Ltd, our network principal, where required for compliance, regulatory and record-keeping purposes.
- Our IT and hosting providers, who process personal data on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes.
- Regulatory bodies (the Financial Conduct Authority, Financial Ombudsman Service, HMRC) where we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell personal data to third parties, ever.
Data transfers outside the UK
Where our IT providers are located outside the UK, personal data may be transferred to those countries. Any such transfers are only made where the destination country provides an adequate level of data protection, or where appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.
How long we keep your data
Enquiries submitted via this website that do not lead to a client relationship are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. If your enquiry does become a client relationship, retention periods for client data are governed by the 2plan Privacy Policy and by our regulatory obligations — typically 6 years from the end of the client relationship, but longer in some circumstances (for example, pension advice).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have several rights, including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to have inaccurate personal data corrected.
- The right to have your personal data erased in certain circumstances.
- The right to restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances.
- The right to data portability where processing is based on consent or contract.
- The right to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@metritawm.co.uk or write to us at our registered office address above. We'll respond within one calendar month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal data, please raise it with us first — we'll investigate and respond. If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the independent regulator for data protection: ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — most commonly when there's a change in the law or in how the website works. Any material change will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Please check back periodically for the most current version.
